Faith Sarah Parsley, 93, born September 7, 1922, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 13, 2016.
She was born in Rolette, ND to Gilbert and Sadie Fassett, the youngest of 6 brothers and 6 sisters. She graduated from Russell High School in 1938 and Minot State Teachers College in 1940. She taught several grades in several North Dakota schools. On May 1, 1945, Faith married Glen Dale Parsley in Thorne, ND. She worked at the Wyoming Medical Center for many years and retired in 1988.
Her greatest joys were playing the piano,cooking and baking for her family, painting, knitting, crocheting, gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Faith is survived by 5 daughters and one son-in-law; Judy and Bob Fredrickson of Evansville, Peggy Reed, Barby MacMillan and Kathy Parsley of Casper, and Colleen Rodgers - who was her primary caregiver for the past ten years, of her family home in Evansville. Grandchildren and their families: Ron, Tammy and Haley Reed of Casper; David, Tanya, Brandon, Bryan, Bhretton, Katlyn and Emily Reed of Casper; Brandi, Ross, Vanessa and Tiffany Rodgers of Fort Collins, CO; Aaron, Amanda, Kaeda, Cohl, Chase and Brayson MacMillan of Fort Collins, CO; Amber, Dustin, Jeremiah, Madison and Gabriel Strzesak of Casper; Amanda, Jarrad and Ariana Goodfellow of Casper; Jarrad and Taliah Campos of Casper; Sara Fasula of Casper and Melanie, Mariah and Marin MacMillan of Casper; She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Sons-in-law Johnny Reed and Steve Broomell, one grandson Steven MacMillan, great-grandson Travis Rodgers Martinez, and Grandson-in-law Paul Goodfellow.
Her beloved piano is silent now, and her beautiful blue eyes are closed. Her family will miss her dearly, but are overjoyed that she is free!
The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 18, 2016 starting at 1:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
