Shawn Robert Amen, age 21, of Casper, passed away August 6, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center. Shawn was born March 30, 1995 in Casper to Randall and Jill (Suedes) Amen. Shawn graduated from NCHS in 2012. At a young age he started playing piano and guitar. Shawn was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. He always had a smile to share and loved playing with his nieces, nephews and all children that were a part of his life. Shawn also enjoyed a good book and playing video games. He also enjoyed helping his grandparents tend to their greenhouse.

Left to cherish Shawn's memory are his mother, Jill N. (Bobby) Shepherd, father Randy J. (Coty) Amen, grandparents Robert and Hazel Suedes, Jack and Karen Amen, Aunt Joy Suedes and her daughter Katherine, Uncle Rick and Aunt Kim Amen and their children Corey and Heather, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Stacey Umbach and their son Hayden, Aunt Kacey and Uncle Levi Porter and their children; Kinley, Kamden and Kylen, along with many other people that Shawn considered family.

The family will receive guests at Newcomer Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 13 at Mount Hope Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with a Reception and Lunch to follow in the Church.
