Paul James Stout was born Jan 31 1940 in the home his daddy built for the family in Ione Washington…Paul left this world on August 16,2016 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming...
Paul's memorial service will be Monday August 22 2016 at 11 am at the Newcomers Funeral Home..with a gathering after the service at Paul and Lee's home 3064 Whitcomb Way for a light luncheon and favorite stories and memories of Paul...

Paul was the 3rd child of Charles James Stout and Phyllis Norma Clumpner Stout…as a small child the family moved to a number of logging mill towns as his father worked and built lumber mills in the Pacific northwest...moving to Idaho and then to Heppner Ore…in his freshman year of school they moved to Enterprise, Oregon. Paul graduating from Enterprise High School in 1958. Many boyhood memories he’d tell about hunting fishing that special country with many special friends…soon after graduation moving to Pendelton, Ore and Walla Walla Washington working for Stone Machinery, Paul traveled the Columbia River as the Dams one by one were built…

On July 22 1961 he married Carol S. Schaad to this union a son James Paul Stout was born in 1962 and a daughter Tracie Patricia Stout 1966…they later divorced and Paul moved to Casper Wyoming…Coming to Casper Paul worked for Wyoming Machinery Company as Parts Mang. and later in the Service department...

In 1971 Paul and Lee met...fell in love and married Oct 28 1972..taking Lee’s 3 children as his own…they both had found the love of their life, their best friend and a partner in the business they built together “The Daisy Patch Galleries”…the business they started in the garage of their home moving it to the studio Paul built at the back of their home, then to 2nd and Lincoln in 1982, on to the Atrium on 2nd and Wolcott downtown Casper in 1989 and their last location on Center Street in 1996 ….in those years at the galleries they built friendships with so many wonderful people in Casper and around the area and with nationally known artist, having art shows so that Casper could also enjoy knowing those artists…after 30 years in business they closed the gallery in 2002 and moved the framing back to it’s home base in the studio Paul built…for a year and a half they traveled, gardened and worked on things they never had time for…but Paul missed the people the daily being out seeing what was going on…both Pete Griener and Phil Schmildt had asked Paul what he was going to do when he retired and they had told him “if ya get bored come out”…one morning at breakfast on the deck he told Lee…”ya know I think it’s time to go talk to the guys”…he did and happily spent the next 13 years working at Griener Motors…doing what he loved best talking to people, helping people and hugging the people he’d known for years at the gallery…giving that big smile to one and all…working with the best people ever who's calls visits, prayers though out his 15 month battle with cancer meant more than words can say...

Paul was a person who could do everything and do it well…remodeling their home from one end to the other…re-landscaping their yard, he had an eye for color and time for the person with smallest of framing jobs that came through those gallery doors as if it was the biggest he’d ever done…his hobby was model railroad the pride of building from scratch and being a rail fan…photographing trains, sitting for hours waiting for the perfect train and moment…sharing his talents with so many…enjoying time with son in law Kelly rail fanning and having liver and onions at any local diner they found along the way…with his train buddies in Sheridan Wyoming...hours at trains show and even more at Caboose hobbies finding that perfect treasure....Hunting here in Wyoming with his brother Charlie from Alaska and fishing trips to Alaska so he and Charlie could have that special brother time…

He is survived by his wife Lee..son James (Madelaine)of Casper, daughter Tracie (Jeffery)Cain of South Carolina , and step children he called is own Teri Lee (Kelly) Walsh of Las Vegas,Nevada, Mick Dwain (Michelle) Shaul, of Milton Freewater Ore, and Julie Lei (Dr. Dan) Radosevich of Laramie Wyoming …12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren… his sister Barbara Jean Armstrong of Spokane Washington and brother Charles William “Charlie” Stout of Ketchikan Alaska…numerous nieces and nephews and many dear and beloved friends… preceded in death by his parents Charles and Phyllis Stout and his In laws Harry and Rilla Henningsen ..sister in laws Bonnie Boyer and Ann Stout…

The quote you see so many times “he’ll be missed” can’t begin to say what it will be like without him…”the wink he would give Lee and touch her on the end of her nose…his way of saying I love you and always with that smile”…the sunrises and sunsets...bird watching and dreams of what we’ll build together next…a home in heaven is our next one my love…

We want to thank family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, for all the love, prayers, and support given to Paul and Lee over this past 15 months...A donation in Paul’s name can be made to the Paul Stout Kelly Walsh High School Art Department Fund that has been set up at Hill Top National Bank.
