John Joseph Kegler, 79, passed away August 23, 2016, after he lost his battle with dementia.

He was born to the late Lester and Marie Kegler, May 26, 1937 in Clearfield, WI. John graduated from Holy Ghost and had attended Casper College. He married Catharine Joann Kegler on October 14, 1958. They lived together in Dubuque, IA before relocating to Casper, WY in June of 1970.

John was self-employed in construction, some of John’s favorite activities were collecting rocks, big game hunting and painting.

John is survived by five children, Tina Walrack, Suzi Kegler, Connie Campbell, Dennis Kegler, Rita Hanno, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. John is also survived by sisters Dorothy Smothers, Maggie Hoyt, Threasa Brandenberg and brothers Gerard, George, Francis and Chris. John is preceded in death by his father, mother, Sister Ann and son Edward.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions, 319 S. Wilson St, Casper, WY 82601 or Poplar Living Center, 4305 S. Poplar St., Casper, WY, 82601.
