Lori A. Bower (Romero), age 56 of Casper, went to be with our Lord on September 25th, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Lori was the second child to be born to Jennie and Joseph Romero. Her sister, Nita was always looking out for Lori from the time they were young, all the way into Lori's final days. They shared a very close bond.
Lori graduated from Natrona County High School in 1978 and went on to attend Casper College. Lori then went on to work at Casper College for 27 years. She worked as the Casper College wellness center as an assistant for the last 13 years of her life. Her laugh behind the counter was infectious to the students and faculty.
Lori was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Gabriel on New Year’s Eve 1990. Gabby was the light of Lori's life. Lori received joy from watching her daughter Gabby grow up dancing and later watching Gabby spread her love of dance onto others. Lori dedicated her life to raising her daughter and taking care of her parents. Lori was very caring and compassionate and always looked out for other’s needs before her own.
Lori found love and joy in her daughter and son-in-law's dog, Lilly. She was constantly buying her dog toys and puppy treats, spoiling her as if she was her own. She loved to spend time with Lilly and was always willing to watch her just so she could take more pictures and videos of the Labrador.
Lori is survived by her daughter, Gabriel Butler, son-in-law, Ryan Butler, sister, Nita Romero, her parents, Jennie and Joseph Romero; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
She is preceded in death by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and both sets of grandparents.
A Memorial Service for Lori will be held Friday, September 30th, 2016 at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 710 East Second, Casper, Wyoming.
