In Memory Of
Philip J. "Zeke" Zielinski
1949 - 2016

Philip “Zeke” Jerome Zielinski 67 of Casper, Wyoming passed away on October 13, 2016 in Casper at Wyoming Medical Center. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 26, 1949 to Albert and Margaret (Elliott) Zielinski. He was the 4th of 6 children and grew up in Alpena, Michigan. He graduated from Catholic Central high school in 1967 and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in college and went on to teach school. He then changed careers and worked for Mobil Chemical in Wyoming and California. He then moved to Casper where he worked for several trucking companies before starting his own with his wife.

In 1990 he met the love of his life and wife of 22 years Connie J (Schierkolk) Zielinski. Together they raised her 2 children Jamie (Fowler) Baldwin and Christopher S Rake. In May of 1996 they were blessed with the birth of their only son Paxton J Zielinski. He was the light of his life, his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching him play hockey and traveled far and wide to cheer him on. He always enjoyed having coffee with his buddies and would take his grandkids every chance he could. His Brother said, “He was the BEST BIG BROTHER and always a stable rock in my life.” His family says, “He could quote Shakespeare and poetry on a whim but when it came to finding his wallet, keys and cell phone forget it.”

He is survived by his wife Connie (Schierkolk) Zielinski of 22 years; his son Paxton Zielinski and other children Jamie (Douglas) Baldwin, Christopher Rake; his precious grandchildren Raquel, Brooke, Hannah, and Grant Baldwin; siblings twin sisters Barb (Glenn) Kuehnl of Michigan, and Marie Crenshaw of Tennessee; brother Xavier Zielinski of Washington and youngest sister Lori Haile of Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Margaret Zielinski; infant brother, Albert; and his beloved travel companion and best friend, Tux.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday October 29, 2016 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home. Following the Celebration, Phil's family invites guests to join them at a Reception which will be held at the Black Gold Grille, 1650 English Ave, Casper, WY 82601. A scattering of his ashes will commence with family in the summer of 2017 in Michigan on the lake that he loved.
