He was born April 17, 1938 to Joseph and Elizabeth DeSanti, in Omaha, NE. John grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa with his 3 sisters, Rose, Delilah, and June. He joined the Navy in 1955 and served till 1963 when he was honorably discharged. John married the love of his life, Victoria on April 9, 1960 in Harlin, Iowa. John and Vicki lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa till 1972 when they moved to Wyoming where John worked at the power plant, in Glenrock, as a mechanic, retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time working on his cabin in the Rattlesnake Mountains. John also loved spending time with his family which was the highlight of his life. John and Vicki spent the winter months at their other home in Meadview, Arizona. They were blessed with 6 wonderful children. Jim DeSanti, (Fawn), John Desanti, (Lori), Nick DeSanti, (Shawna), Angie Lara, (Abel), Susan Lantis, (Craig), and Cynthia DeSanti.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria, 5 children, 20 grandchildren, 9 Great grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth DeSanti, a sister, June Coggins, and a daughter, Cynthia DeSanti.
A Visitation will be held at Community Baptist Church in Glenrock on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Glenrock Cemetery with a Reception to follow.
