Tammy was born in Loveland, Colorado on November 11, 1960 to Janet Rae Kuehl. She was raised in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1979. Tammy was married to Jeff Lyman on July 16, 1988. They were married 28 years and together 33 years. Together they raised their two daughters, Stephanie and Valorie.
Tammy worked at the A&W throughout high school and then went on to work at Wyoming National Bank for 13 years, beginning as a teller and ending her career as an operation specialist. After her second child, she left the workforce to care for her two daughters and ended up caring for several nephews over the years. In her recent years, she was property owner and manager for several rentals in Casper, WY. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, vacationing, dancing, watching horse racing and watching “the game” (football) and spending time with her family. She participated in a co-ed bowling league at Sunrise for 10 years and a lady’s league at El-Marko for 15 years and was heavily involved throughout her children’s education.
Tammy was a loving mother and wife and the most caring and selfless person in the world. She welcomed everyone into her life with open arms and was always willing to give a hand to those in need. She loved all of her nieces and nephews like her own children and often took in many of her daughter’s friends over the years and stepped in as their mother when they needed it most.
Tammy is survived by husband, Jeff; daughters, Stephanie and Valorie, and future son-in-law, Ryan Garrett; sister, Becky Vega and husband, Gil, sister, Cathy Allen, sister, Carol McKim, sister, Pandora Danner, brother, Kevin Lyman, and brother, Barry Strickler; grandson, Aaron Garrett; 35 nieces and nephews; and 50 great nieces and nephews.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Kuehl; in-laws, Joann and John Long and Wendell Lyman; sister, Peni Kelly; brother, Terry Allen; and grandparents, Hertha and Albert Kuehl.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Tammy Lyman Memorial Fund, US Bank, Attention Jill Davis, 435 E. First St., Casper, WY 82601.
