His most enjoyable jobs were the "unpaid type" like building, remodeling, and fixing things for his family.

He was an avid University of Wyoming fan, outdoorsman, and gardener. He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. His favorite moments were spent at his cabin surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed entertaining his family and friends, as well as taking care of all the mountain wildlife.
