Nathan was an avid basketball player. He started at the YMCA, and then continued to play for the St. Anthony’s Spartans, Dean Morgan Comets, NCHS Mustangs and EWC Lancers. He was an academic All-American basketball player at EWC. He also played tennis for NCHS and was a hurdler on the NCHS track team. He loved to fish along with hunting doves, geese, pheasants, and ducks.
He is survived by his parents, James and Mary Kay; his brother, Michael and his sister Elizabeth; his girlfriend, Malia Shipley; his maternal grandmother, Pauline Weiland. Nathan is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; along with a multitude of loving friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Harold and Mary Ann Pieper; and his maternal grandfather, Donald Weiland; and also by his cousin, Maria Esselstein.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to either the Natrona County High School – Nathan Pieper Leadership Class Fund or the St. Anthony’s Tri-Parish School Joy Fund.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at 4:00pm until the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00pm, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am, Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Highland Cemetery at 2:00pm.
