Billy Milton Burwell died at his home on Saturday August 26, 2017 after an extended illness including heart and kidney disease. He was born October 2, 1941 in Alta, Buena Vista, Iowa to Walter Lee Burwell and Dorothy Elizabeth Streed.

They moved to Mills, Wyoming in 1949. Bill graduated from Natrona County High School in 1960.

On June 19, 1961, He married Rosemary Ann Saunders.They were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They were Sealed for all Time and Eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 14, 1986. To this union were born two sons, Troy Lee of Lander, Wyoming and Roddy Allyn (Roxie) of Casper.

While in High School he worked at the Round-up market in Mills. In 1963, he joined the Casper Fire Department working up the ranks and retired in 1984 as a Captain. After retiring he worked several jobs until retiring for good.

Throughout his life he enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing, and archery.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Larry Lee and Dennis Paul, granddaughter, Jennifer Lyn Griffith, Great-grandson, Carter Lee Jutting.

Surviving are his wife and sons, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, 4 sister-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations in his name may be made to the Heart or Kidney Foundations, the Natrona County burn fund, or a charity of the donor's choice.

A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3931 West 45th Street from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, Thursday, August 31, 2017. A Funeral Ceremony will begin at 1:00pm with a graveside service following at Highland cemetery.
