Jean Charles Larramendy, age 78, of Casper, passed away September 2, 2017 at his home. Jean was born October 26, 1938 in Casper,WY to Pierre Larramendy and Dorothy (Kear) Keating. Jean enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 16 in 1954. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Era. Jean was honorably discharged from the army in 1979. In 1974, Jean married the love of his life, Sherry Sturm in Columbus, Georgia at the Memorial Presbyterian Church. Jean and Sherry moved to Casper, Wyoming in 1979. He was employed with High Country Fabrication for the majority of his life before retiring in 2002. Jean was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. Jean enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and studying his bible, and drinking coffee. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
Jean is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry Lee Larramendy, daughters, Tamara Sierra and Vanessa (JB) Sorensen, Son, JC Larramendy, 9 grandkids, 5 great-grandkids, brothers, Mike, Noel, and John, sisters, Sherrill and Kathy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, September 11, 2017 at Sunrise Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association in Jean's memory.
