Celebration of Life Services for Reed LaVern Moon, age 77, will be held at 3:30 pm, on Saturday October 14, 2017 at Faith Bible Chapel in Casper, Wyoming.

The Lord called him home on October 12, 2017, at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Casper, Wyoming as the result of a short illness.

He was born May 18, 1940 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Grace (Harvey) Arnell. He graduated from Rigby, Idaho High School in 1958.

He joined the army in 1958 and served two years in Bad Kreuznach, Germany and a year in Fort Sill, Oklahoma with the Redstone Missile Group.

He married Thelma Lindsey on March 13, 1963 in Lovelock, Nevada. A 54 year love story. Together they traveled extensively around the United States while he was employed five years with Lear Seigler as an aircraft technician. He was employed by Halliburton Company as a Sales Service Representative in Casper, Wyoming where he retired after thirty years. He was then employed by Automation & Electronics in January, 1999

as a Sales Consultant and worked 17 years until his death. He loved his job, with this wonderful company, Automation & Electronics, and loved traveling the beautiful state of Wyoming.

He raised three daughters and one granddaughter and was an active Christian. He accepted Christ in 1983 and served his Lord at First Southern Baptist Church and Faith Bible Chapel in Casper, Wyoming. He and Thelma led a bible study group in their home for a few years where he enjoyed sharing the Word of God.

His hobbies included playing in the church orchestra and singing in church quartet. He enjoyed working with his girls and supporting them with their music endeavors. He had a small recording studio and collected movies and music. He enjoyed working in the Rocky Mountain oilfields with all his customers.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma of the home, three daughters, Rhenada Finch and husband Mark of Lindsay, Oklahoma; Shylan Vorderberg of Antioch, Tennessee; Carla Moon of Nashville, Tennessee; one brother, Ellwood Arnell of Murfreesboro, TN four granddaughters Erica Davis, Lindsey Finch, (DeMetri Moon, who he raised) and Aubrey Vorderberg, and two grandsons Nolan Finch and Noah Mathews. He has 2 great grandsons Beckham Nance and Max Davis, and 3 great granddaughters Paisley Moon, Jessi Davis, and Mazie Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reed was preceded in death by his Mother, Grace Arnell.
