Tom was also preceded in death by his brother Larry James Chapman. He is survived by his sister Darby Gail (Tom) (Chapman) Blair of Cody, daughter Cari D. Ogg, granddaughter Cailin Ann Ogg, sister-in-law Carol Chapman, nephew Eric Schrader, and companion Genie Chapman.
