Katherine "Kathy" Gail Baxter, age 67, of Casper, passed away January 17, 2018 at Central Wyoming Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Katherine was born July 20, 1950 in High Point, North Carolina to William and Ethel (Slate) Hoffman. She dedicated her life to her family and her job.

Kathy worked as an Office Manager for Dow Geophysical, Western Water Consultants, and A.P.I. Systems throughout her career. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling and attending her grandchildren’s many activities. Kathy, as a child of a military family, traveled many places, but Wyoming was her true home. Her travels through state would often take longer than expected as she would stop on the side of the road to take pictures of the scenery or wildlife.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Nicholas (Kim) Baxter of Gillette; Daughter, Candace (Kevin) Crimm of Gillette; Sister, Beverly Kowalewski of Buffalo NY; Brothers, Ken (Jana) Hoffman and Jerry Hoffman of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her cat, Scooter.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Casper Humane Society in Kathy’s memory. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
