1931 - 2018

Raymond (Ray) Claude Bunner age 86 passed away at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper Janury 24, 2018. He was born in Newcastle, Wyoming October 28,1931. The son of William and Lillie Bunner.

Raymond moved to Riverton,Wyoming as a small child starting his first year of school in Riverton. The family moved to Ocean Lake where he attended school at Morton. He completed his education through the eighth grade at Morton. The family moved from Ocean Lake to Arapahoe.

He married Florene (Renie) Sauer on February 20, 1953 in Billings, Montana. Ray and Renie had three children Steven, Linda and Daniel.

He was a Corporal in the United States Army. Ray did his basic training in Fort Riley,Kansas. He was later stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska.

After the army Ray and Renie made their home in Riverton, later moving to Casper where Ray built 13 houses. Continuing his carpentry career Ray moved to Moorcroft, Wyoming and then to Winnemuccca, Nevada. When he retired he moved home to Wyoming residing in Glenrock. After retiring he enjoyed working in his wood shop, building bird houses, boxes, benches and wooden wall plaques with his little witty sayings and always ready to go fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include his wife Renie, his sons Steven(Brenna), Daniel, and daughter Linda Humes(Jim). Six grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Newcomers Funeral Home in Casper,Wyoming on February 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Donations may be made in his name to the Central Wyoming Hospice, Disabled Veterans, VFW or a charity of your choice.
