Casper, Wyoming

May 22, 1941 – April 16, 2018

Beverly “Bev” Jean Jensen, 76, passed away after suffering with the final stages of C.O.P.D. at Life Care Center of Casper on April 16, 2018.

Bev was born May 22, 1941 in Moorhead, MN, to Wilhelm and MaryAlice (Curfman) Heller. Bev grew up in Fargo, ND and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1959. In November of 1959, Bev married Eli Purdy, from this union they had two children, and later divorced.

In December of 1971, she married Alan “Al” Jensen in Fargo, ND. Bev’s career began as owner of Peter Pan Day Care Center and Gifts Unlimited in Moorhead, MN.

Bev and her husband owned and operated two bars and a Supper Club from 1973-1980 in Embden, Casselton and Tower City, North Dakota.

In January of 1981, they moved to Casper, Wyoming.

She was employed with her husband as Secretary for Manville Claims Service in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
In December of 1984, they moved back to Casper, Wyoming where they established Jensen Claim Service until his death in 1996.

In 1998, Bev owned Bob’s Bar and Drive-in in Lingle, Wyoming.

She returned to Casper in 2005.

Bev was a member of the Moose Club WOTM Chapter #2009 in Torrington, Wyoming and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #306 in Casper, Wyoming.

Bev enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to cook for any occasion. She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, sewing and various crafts.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and son, Jon Purdy.

Bev was survived by her daughter, Julie Rorvik (Jesse) of Casper, her grandchildren, Kale, Justine (Derrick), Matthew, 4 great grandchildren, and her sister, Glenda Heck of Fargo, ND, 2 aunts, and several cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center for the kindness, patience, and care that all of you had given Bev during her stay at the center. Bev truly appreciated each and every one of you.

There will be no services per her request.

Her family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.
