Sammy Lopez, age 80, of Casper, passed away May 6, 2018 at Central Wyoming Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Sammy was born December 5, 1937 in Worland, Wyoming to Sam Costalez and Eva Lopez. He enlisted in the United States Navy in March of 1955. He was honorably discharged in October of 1958. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. He loved music and playing music with his friends.
In addition to his parents, Sammy was also preceded in death by his sisters, Josephine Espinoza and Mona Baumgardner. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel (Paul) Baxter, son, Eric (Amanda) Lopez, son, Drake (Sheila) Lopez, son, Ralph (Carolyn) Trujillo, and Son, Sam (Karen) Lopez, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2:00pm at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming.
