Linda Louise Booth
1939 - 2015
Linda was born on February 23, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri to Howard and Louise (Smith) Owings. She enjoyed a childhood filled with travel, along with her brother Larry Owings. Because her Dad worked in the pipeline industry, Linda enjoyed the opportunity to live in a variety of environments and meet and make friends all over the United States. Linda was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith.
In 1960, she met her husband Melvin Booth at Rosie's Diner in Grants, New Mexico. They were married on May 8, 1960 and celebrated 26 years of marriage before Melvin's death on March 25, 1986.
She is survived by four daughters; Melinda (Monty) Elliott, of Casper, Wyoming, Valarie (Max) Officer of Evanston, Wyoming, Cindy Teffer of Fletcher, North Carolina and Kathy (Robby) Downey of Dayton, Tennessee. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. Also surviving is her brother Larry (Lena) Owings as well as nieces and nephews of Dayton, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma, at 1:00 with funeral service to follow at 2:00. Linda's nephew, Pastor Rusty Revis, will officiate. She will be interred beside her husband at Miami GAR Cemetery.
