In Memory Of
Peter "Lynn" Bunn
1947 - 2015

On March 16, 2015 at 9 pm, heaven welcomed Peter “Lynn” Bunn, who passed from this life at his recent home, Poplar Living Center, with family by his side.

He was born to the late Peter and Alma Fraase Bunn, October 14, 1947, in Sheldon, ND. After graduating high school in 1965, he married Evelyn Hoy in 1967. The couple was blessed with two children, Kristy and Wade, and in 1972 moved to Glenrock, Wyoming. There, Lynn found work at the Bixby Hereford Ranch as a ranch farm hand and was eventually promoted to foreman in 1989. After his first marriage dissolved in 1981, he was married to Dorothy Irons from 1982 until 1998.

Later, Lynn met Mary Rickert of Casper, Wyoming while out for a night of dancing. The two married on August 19, 1999 and lived on the Bixby Ranch, where Lynn continued as Manager until his retirement in 2007, achieving a ranch career of 35 years of service.

Lynn was a life member of the NRA and after his retirement from ranch life, a member of Lord of Lords Lutheran Church in Casper. He was an avid big game hunter who was proud of his several trophies. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and many an adventure with his 15 grandchildren. His family will remember Lynn for his hard work, lack of complaint, witty humor and unique cowboy grin.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 15 years, Mary Bunn; son Wade Bunn (wife Gwen) and children Chase and Macey of Palo Cedro, CA; daughter Kristy McDaniel (husband Raymond) and children Hunter and Wyatt of Brighton, CO; four sisters Mavis, Ruby, Beverly and Betty (husband Richard) all of North Dakota; numerous nieces, nephews and 11 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Alma and ex-wife Evelyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Lynn’s memory be made to Samaritan’s Purse Christian Relief Organization, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607; or to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson Street, Casper, WY 82601.

Services will be held Saturday, March 28th, at 2 pm at Lord of Lords Lutheran Church, 5028 Casper Mountain Road. All of Lynn's friends and associates are welcome. Cremation has taken place.
