She was born on October 17, 1923 to Frank and Rose Albert in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Chicago, IL where she met her husband, John R. Cherer. They married and had five children. They moved to League City, TX in 1971 and to Casper, WY in 1976.
Virginia is survived by 3 daughters, Mary A. Cherer, Carol A. Plummer (Mike), and Elizabeth (Betty) R. Cherer, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Cherer; son, John C. Cherer; and daughter, Ann M. Beckman.
A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Casper, Wyoming on Friday April 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Casper Humane Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.
