Glenda Rae (Gering) Santoni was born August 23, 1934 in Casper, WY to Leo Wayne Gering and Ester Opal Graves. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 27, 2015.

She grew up in Casper and graduated from NCHS in 1952. She married Cecil Orland Galutia and raised their three children. She and Cecil were divorced and she married Leon Richard Santoni. They enjoyed their cabin at Alcova Lake, where she loved to fish and garden. The last 14 years of her life she spent with her beloved companion Hal Tuma.

Glenda was always the entrepreneur. She had her own stenography business on the mezzanine of the old Gladstone Hotel. It was there, in the late 60’s, she was offered a job in Washington DC as a secretary for Congressman William Henry Harrison. The family lived in Alexandria VA for 3 years. On returning to Casper she went to work for Marathon Oil. It was there that her entrepreneurial spirit returned when she and her friend Jesse Baker invented DecoFab, a product used for decorating furniture. They sold the rights to a company in Colorado. In the late 70’s, she and her daughter Beth started the Plant Peddlers, taking care of plants in businesses around Casper for the last 38 years. She was affectionately known as “The Plant Lady” to many friends and customers. She was involved in various community activities, such as, The NCHS Reunion Committee, Casper Playhouse, Sweet Adelines and a Weight Watcher leader.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, brothers Denny and Dewain Gering, her late husbands, Cecil Galutia, Lee Santoni, her late companion Hal Tuma and her late son-in-law J Charles Knerl.

She is survived by: Daughters Beth Kudlak(Kirby) and Sue Knerl, Son Jeff Galutia, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
