Macaria Medina Moralez, age 96, of Casper, passed away April 14, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Macaria was born September 8, 1920 in Mexico. She was the family matriarch, family was very important to her. She worked very hard providing for her 9 children.

Macaria loved to travel & visit family whenever she could. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and was one of the original members of The Ladies of Guadalupe volunteering whenever she could. She loved to sing and was part of the Spanish Choir.

In addition to her parents and 7 siblings, Macaria was preceded in death by her husbands, Rafael Madrid and Ascencion Moralez, daughters Maria Louisa Madrid and Patsy Moralez, son Gilbert Madrid, grandchildren Randy Madrid and Brandon Moralez and greatgrand child Jaxon Moralez. Left to cherish her memory are her children Rudy & Margie Madrid, Matt & Hilda Madrid, Rafaela & Eduardo Dominguez, Ofrendo & Tresa Moralez, Alfonso Moralez, Ricky and Velma Moralez, her sister Cruz Solis, 29 grandchilden, 60 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive guests Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Casper with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Mass will begin at 11:00 am on April 21,2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Casper. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. If attending please try not to wear black as she was not fond of the color.
