Irene Vivian Lindmier, age 86, of Douglas, Wyoming, passed away April 19, 2017 at Poplar Living Center in Casper, Wyoming. Irene was born December 23, 1930 in Douglas to Aubrey and Minnie "Marie" (Spellman) Manning. Her childhood was spent at Bear Creek Ranch north of Douglas, as a member of a ranching family.
She attended Douglas High School, graduating in 1949. Her favorite past time was dancing and especially the Jitterbug. On June 23rd, 1948, she married the love of her life at the home of William's parents in front of the fireplace. Irene was a loving housewife and mother, she was always willing to help someone in need. She loved to visit and cook for family and friends.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Aubrey Manning, brother, Robert "Bob" Manning and sister, Edith Lewis. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, William Lindmier; sons, Robert (Dorothy) Lindmier, Thomas (Connie) Lindmier, and Jeffrey (Cindy) Lindmier, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held May 21, 2021 Friday, 2:00 p.m. at the Douglas Cemetery.
