Louise Walker, age 70, of Glenrock, passed away October 18, 2017 at her home. Louise was born June 23, 1947 in Lusk, Wyoming to Sam and Vera (Anderson) Leeling. Louise graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1965 and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Chadron State College in 1969. In March of 1970, Louise married the love of her life, Ken Walker, in Douglas, Wyoming. Louise and Ken have resided in Glenrock for the past 47 years. She taught at the high school in Glenrock, Wyoming and after the birth of their only child, Wendy, Louise was employed at Hughes Lumber Company in Glenrock. She was a stay-at-home mom for several years and then was employed with The United States Postal Service for 25 years before retiring 5 years ago. Other than Ken, the loves of her life included daughter, Wendy, precious granddaughter Alexa and their beloved dog, Dora. She was an avid reader, and was always sending cards to friends, neighbors, and family, especially in their time of need. Louise was a past member of Community Baptist Church of Glenrock.

Louise is preceded in death by her father, Sam and step-mother, Grace Leeling, mother-in-law, Violet and father-in-law, Cleatus Walker. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Walker; daughter, Wendy, son-in-law, Terry, and granddaughter, Alexa Malawy, all of St. Louis, MO; her mother, Vera Martin, twin-sister, Lois (Harvey) Hughes, sister, Nita (Gene) Martin, step-sister, Renee (Brian) Hossack, step-brother, Jack (Charlene) Bloem, nieces and nephews, Marnie Prochniak, Cory Martin, Cody Bringham, Tom Martin, several great nieces and nephews, and her many friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Glenrock Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Louise's memory.
