In Memory Of
Steve Jackson
1958 - 2017
Steve was born October 1, 1958 in Laramie Wyoming, to Joseph and Margaret (Hays) Jackson. Steve attended school in Glenrock K-12, graduating in 1977. He then went to Chadron State College where he played baseball. He later graduated from the University of Wyoming with a teaching degree.
On September 17, 1978 he married his high school sweetheart Arlene (Cielinski) Jackson.
Steve worked for the Natrona county school system as a teacher and coach at Dean Morgan and Centennial Junior High. For a few years he went back to his alma mater to serve as the Athletic director and teacher.
Steve loved to spend time hunting, woodworking, and camping. The mountains gave him peace and tranquility. The joy of his life was time spent with his family, especially his grandkids.
Arlene and Steve consider their greatest accomplishment their two children, Blake and Cammie. Having the family grow to include a daughter and son-in-law, followed by 7 wonderful grandchildren, brought him imaginable joy.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Joe Jackson. He is survived in death by his wife Arlene, children Blake and Cammie; mother Margaret; brothers Joe and Don; sister Linda, and seven beautiful grandchildren, Lilly, Brady, Hays, Story, Nella, Ida, and Tate, as well as brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Melanie Cielinski and many other family and friends.
Services will be Saturday Oct 28th at the Glenrock Middle School Auditorium, at 2:00 pm. Following the Service everyone is invited to join the family in a remembrance celebration at 700 Sunshine Lane. Dinner and drinks will be served.
