Martha Winifred Hyer, age 94, of Casper, passed away November 19, 2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born the last of nine children September 23, 1923 in Torrington, Wyoming to William and Ella (Covington) Webb. The family ranched north of Hartville in Webb Canyon and rode their horses to school over the hills to Sunrise High School where she graduated in 1943. She entered the WAVES during World War II and was stationed in Washington DC. She met and married Bob Hyer in Sheridan, Wyoming in 1956. They relocated to Billings, Montana where Jane and Dale were born. The family relocated to Wheatland, Wyoming in 1967. They moved to Casper, Wyoming in 1997 to be closer to family. Martha was a homemaker and caretaker for her mother until her passing. Her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family, reading her bible, and knitting.
In addition to her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Bob Hyer, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Matt) Cassel, son, Dale Hyer, granddaughters, Ashley (Matt) Robison, Colby Cassel, Jesse Cassel, and special nieces, Cindy (Willard) Woods and Carol Hale, in addition to great-nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, November 24, 2017 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Casper.
