Evelyn Ruth Baker, 72 of Mills, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming. She was born April 29, 1945 in Laramie, Wyoming to Jack and Katherine Smith of Walden, Colorado. Evelyn graduated in 1963 from Jackson County High School in Walden, Colorado. She met then married Clifford D. Baker in July 12, 1963 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Together they had three children, Darleen, Julie, and Robin.

Evelyn and Clifford moved to Shirley Basin, Wyoming in 1976 until 1992, where Evelyn worked at the Post Office, the Bad Medicine Inn tending bar and the local grocery store where she was able to get to know the members of the small hard working community. In 1992 the family moved to Casper, where she worked at One Hour Martinizing until she retired.

She enjoyed reading, camping and traveling the country. She also enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, but most of all, she truly enjoyed spending time with her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nadine Bagby. She is survived by her loving husband, Clifford; daughters, Darleen Baker of Thermopolis, Julie (Randy) Likewise of Gillette, and Robin Baker of Gillette; grandchildren, Krista Likewise, Derick Likewise, Thomas Bennett, Tawny (Trent) Crandall, and Paige Tuttle; great grandchildren, Zayde Likewise and Aurora Crandall; and sister in law, Karen Su (Don) Shupe of Greeley, Colorado.
