At his request, no services will be held for Richard Clark Bliss, Jr., age 88, of Casper, who passed away January 14, 2018 at Central Wyoming Hospice with his loving family by his side.

Richard was born September 30, 1929 in Galesburg, Illinois to Richard and Doris (Thurman) Bliss and was the first of five children. He attended high school at Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After completing high school, he moved to San Diego to enlist in the United States Navy where he then met and married Joella "Jo" Sanders on April 14, 1951. After serving in the Korean War, he was employed with the United State Postal Service. In 1964, he was appointed Postal Inspector for the State of Wyoming. He was employed for more than 34 years before retiring in 1984. His favorite past times were hunting and fishing. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them the joys of outdoor life.

In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Jo Bliss, sisters, Harriet and Dorothy. He is survived by his Daughter, Jayne Knudson, Daughter, Evette (Vince) Pagano, Son, Dan (Doris) Bliss, sister, Marilyn, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private interment will take place in Skiatook, Oklahoma at Hillside Cemetery.
