James L. "Jim" Staley, 77 of Casper passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his home in Casper, Wyoming. He was born on February 10, 1940 in Thermopolis, WY to Henry and Evelyn Staley. Jim attended school in Worland, WY, he left his schooling to help with the family farm. He later joined the Army National Guard in 1957 until 1968. Jim met the love of his life, Judy Lipps and they married on June 6, 1964. Together they had 3 children, Terri, Ann, and Jimmy. Jim worked for Wyoming Machinery from 1972 until 1984, he then went to work for JTL (Knife River) until his retirement in 2002. After his retirement Jim and Judy traveled extensively until Jim was diagnosed with lung cancer seven years ago. Then they focused on his health and their grandchildren, enjoying every moment they could spend together. Jim had a passion for gardening, especially his tomatoes.
