Barbara Lynch Jones, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her home in Casper, Wyoming.

She was born in Weehawken, New Jersey, on December 13, 1929 to Ruth Benton Livingston and Maurice Livingston. Barbara grew up in the New Jersey/New York area until relocating to Denver in the 1950's. She worked as a waitress and cashier in addition to her long-running employment in the banking industry.

Barbara is survived by her son, Robin Benton Schilling; granddaughter, Nicole Ruth Nellis; and great-grandson, Benton George Nellis, of Casper. She is also survived by her nieces, Cynthia of New York, Catherine and Susan of Denver and Donna of Philadelphia and numerous grand-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers: Pam, Bobby, Diana, David and Jimmy, and her nephew, Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Diabetes Prevention Program. Barbara's long time participation in this important research program has provided an invaluable service to the community. Donations may be sent to: CU Foundation, P.O. Box 17126, Denver, CO 80217. A memorial celebrating Barbara's life will be held in Casper at 328 1/2 E. A Street (Upstairs) from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018.
