1926 - 2018

Teddy "Ted" Joe Greer, 91, of Casper, Wyoming passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his home in Casper. He was born on December 3, 1926 in Dennison, Ohio to Owen and Helen Greer. However, he was raised in Weirton West Virginia where he graduated high school. At the age of 17 he joined the Army Air Corps at the end of WWII and also served in the United States Air Force during the beginning of the Korean Conflict. He met and married the love of his life Ada Joyce Wilkinson in 1948 in Sudan, Texas. Ted's work and service time sent the young couple to Fairbanks, Alaska then they were relocated to Denver, Colorado. Ted's career in Oil Exploration took them all over the world, they lived in the Philippines, Australia, Cuba, Canada and Nigeria to name a few. Together they had two children, Eric and Kendrick. After Ted's retirement the family relocated to be closer to family to Casper, Wyoming in 1994 where they enjoyed being with their family, their church and long drives in the mountains of Wyoming. Ted always loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting especially during his time spent in Alaska. He was an avid gardener and apple grower, he was also known as the family "bread maker". He will always be remembered for his great stories of travel and his adventures. Ted will be greatly missed.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Eric Greer.

He survived by his wife of 69 years, Ada; son, Kendrick (Linda) Greer of Jerome, Idaho; daughter in law, Debi Greer of London, England; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Robert O. Greer of Weirton, WV; other relatives and friends.
