Elaine Emma Ross, age 95, passed away peacefully Monday, May 21, 2018, at Meadow Winds Assisted Living in Casper, Wyoming. She was born February 10, 1923, in Marionville, Missouri, to Clark Walter Jennings and Bertha Emma Jennings. She moved from Missouri to Riverton, Wyoming in 1938 at the age of 15, where she then met her first husband Elmer Evans. They homesteaded north of Riverton where they began their lives together and had two sons, Elmer Dean Evans and Everett Leroy Evans. Elaine and Elmer were later divorced and she met and married Melvin “Buck” Wise. They were married 38 years before his passing in 1988. In 1990 Elaine married Maurice “Red” Ross. They were married until his passing in November 2011.

Throughout her life she worked for various people as a house keeper and she was known for one of her favorite hobbies, crocheting. Elaine will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, both of her parents, two sisters, five brothers, two grandchildren, one great grandchild and a daughter in law Claudia Evans. She is survived by two sons, Elmer Dean Evans and his wife Merna of Odessa Texas and Everett Evans of Mills, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A private service will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming on June 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
