In Memory Of
Johnny R. "John" Pearson
1960 - 2018

Johnny "John" Ray Pearson unexpectedly passed away on June 3rd, 2018 at the age of 57 in Casper, WY surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 30th, 1960 to Edwin M. and Winifred "Winnie" F. (Buchholz) Pearson of Casper, WY.

Johnny was the youngest of three children and loved spending time with his siblings and parents at the Casper Water Ski Club. He had many fond memories at Alcova Lake water skiing and tearing up the hills with his friends on their motorcycles.

At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army; upon his return he began working in the transportation industry.

In 1989, John met Stacey Rae Poole and together they had three beautiful children. Because John and Stacey had the same middle name, they chose to name their children accordingly. Together they had their son Jentry Wray Poole (27), daughter Bailey Rae Pearson (21), and Jansen Wray Pearson (11). Jacquelin Poole (26) became a welcome addition to the Pearson family, marrying Jentry in 2016, with John as his best man.

John's oldest daughter is Katrina N. Pearson (37) of Casper.

John worked most of his life as a professional truck driver, following in his father's footsteps. In 2007, John founded Oil City Hotshot with his wife and later ran the company with his son Jentry.

John was in awe of becoming a father again at the age of 46 with the birth of Jansen Wray in 2007. His newest title of "Papa" to his grandson Landyn Ray Pearson (2) brought him tremendous joy.

John loved to take his family camping and boating at Alcova Lake, especially with his younger son Jansen.

He absolutely loved riding his Harley and enjoyed this hobby with his son Jentry. John also loved many types of music from classic rock to country. He was known to frequently share this love with his family and friends. Even Baby Landyn rocked with "Papa."

John was devoted to his family and will be very sadly missed. Survivors include his wife Stacey and his children Jentry, Bailey, and Jansen. His daughter-in-law Jacque as well as his oldest daughter Katrina N. Pearson and her children. His sister Donna M. West, nephew Jason West (Amanda), his nephew Chad Pearson (Mandy), and great niece KyLee Rae Johnson (Brandon), many cousins, and extended family.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents Edwin and Winnie, sister Janice K. (Pearson) Whiteman, brother-in-law Harold West; nephew Jeremy L. Briggs, great niece Brayley N. Baier and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Hilltop National Bank for Jansen Pearson.

Newcomer Casper Chapel has been entrusted with John's services. A celebration of John's life will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Cynthia McBride officiating.

A gathering will be held following the service at the Black n Gold Grill at 1650 English Ave., Casper, WY 82604.
