Marilyn Stephenson, age 92, of Evansville, passed away September 24, 2018 at her home. Marilyn was born March 9, 1926 in Guernsey, Wyoming to Joseph and Alice (Beran) Lack. She graduated high school at Guernsey High School in 1944. After graduating, she went and worked on the Railroad with some friends during World War II when men were limited. In 1946, she married Richard Stephenson, a 4-H friend she met several years earlier. She worked for the United Airlines in Denver until going to work at various other jobs. Her greatest enjoyment was the time spent with her animals, and hunting, fishing, camping, or being outdoors with her family. She played the piano during her younger years and loved to sing to her daughters on road trips. She really enjoyed watching reality TV.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Stephenson, two infant children, Janet and Kenton, sisters, Josephine, Katherine, and Millie, and brother, Cletis. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Ken) Knobel and Sandy (Charlie) Mosteller, grandsons, Lance (Jaime) Mosteller and Randy (Lori) Mosteller, and great-grandchildren, Amberli Mosteller, Devyn Mosteller, and Ragin Mosteller, numerous nieces and nephews.

Private Burial Services will take place at Douglas Park Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.
