1942 - 2018

Lelia Isabel Mora, age 76, of Casper, passed away September 29, 2018 at Central Wyoming Hospice. Lelia was born July 1, 1942 in Mead, Colorado to Irenio and Josephita (Rivera) Mora. In 1962, Lily graduated from NCHS. After graduation, she went into the Carmelites in Reno, Nevada. She went into the Carmelites in Casper in February of 1962 and returned home due to an illness. After she came home, she began working at Natrona County Memorial Hospital for 5 years. Soon after, she began working for Doctor Ronald M. Gibson until her retirement.

Lily was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and attended church regularly. Lily was very faithful with praying. Lily completed her aspirant year and was clothed with the brown scapular of the Order of Carmelite Discalced Seculars in 2013. After another 5 years, she completed her formation and made her definitive promise to the order in 2018.

Many are called, but her family felt that she was chosen.

Lily was preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her brother, Tom, sisters, Alice Mora-Kane, Jennie Mora-Kamber, Dily Mora-Pacheco, Linda Mora-Renteria, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at 5:00pm, Friday, October 5, 2018 until the Funeral Vigil beginning at 7:00pm at Newcomer Casper Chapel.

A Mass will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice.
