Alice King
1927 - 2018

Alice King died peacefully in her sleep on November 13, 2018.

She was born July 1, 1927, in Matteson, Michigan to Frank and Frances Gibson. Alice adventured to Casper, Wyoming at the age of 17 where she met the love of her life LeRoy F. King. They were married June 15, 1949, and were graced with three beautiful daughters.

Alice was a devoted member and volunteer of Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church and was also active in Tamah Temple #73, Daughters of the Nile, and Zilah Club.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Linda (Ken) Humphrey, Diane (Stephen) Crofford, and Patricia Ware; grandchildren William Cregger, Ryan Haloman, Jordan (Amanda) Cregger, Alicia (Marcus) Kelley, Kenyne Humphrey, and Drs. Sean (Elsa) Haloman, and six great grandchildren. Known as “Grammy” she was the last of a great generation; kind, caring, gracious, welcoming, thoughtful, sharp, witty, and the glue that held the family together.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sister, Margie, and son-in-law, William F. Ware, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or the charity of donor’s choice.
