In Memory Of
Dorothy Mae "Babe" Burrough
1930 - 2018
Babe made her journey to heaven on December 30, 2018.
She was born June 25, 1930 in Starke, Florida to Handy G. Williams and Teareather E. (Shipp) LaFleur. Babe dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She touched many lives through her work at Wyoming Independent Living, Natrona County Public Library and Wyoming State Children’s Home. She was also a loving parent to several foster children. If you met Babe, she was instantly your friend, always there to offer a helping hand or share a meal. Her door was always open, the gathering place for family and friends. Babe took great pride in her garden, her sanctuary and favorite past-time.
She was a bold and beautiful woman and will eternally be missed by her beloved family and friends. Babe is survived by her children: Vivian Farnsworth, Mae Shipp (Carl Kaproth), Farrell Cherry, Mary (Jim) Sonesen and Reece (Marci) Burrough; grandchildren: Malik (Melissa) Hamilton, Amber Hamilton (Alan Hollo), Jeremy (Arianna) Burrough, Shelby (Chris) Frerichs, Mo (Megan) Burrough and McKenzie Burrough (Leslie Garcia); and great grandchildren: Miles, Zipporah, Parker and Jonah Hamilton, Emma Miller, Isaiah Blake, Griffey and Dempsey Burrough, Thaddeus and Theodore Frerichs, Ashton and Amarri Burrough and Jeremiah Alivia, sisters Queen Esther Albert and Margaruite DeSue.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Mamie Mathis and Evelyn Williams, infant grandson Jordan Glen, and the beloved family dog Scar.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions (http/cwhp.org).
