In Memory Of
Robert Joseph "Bob" Capone
1932 - 2019

Robert Joseph Capone Sr., 87, passed away Tuesday May 28, 2019. Bob was born April 8, 1932 in Los Angeles, California to Marinello and Josephine (Zuccone) Capone. His father was career Navy, so the small family moved around quite a lot when Bob was a child. He always had great stories to share of living in Brooklyn with multi-generations of his Capone relatives, of family members with questionable business dealings and good times in his old Model A car.

Bob joined the Army in 1950 and did two tours in the Korean War, where he was a truck driver moving troops and supplies. He continued driving truck as a career in different capacities for the majority of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, camping, classic cars and watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies play on TV.

Bob was blessed with 3 children, Robin, Bob Jr., and Gina, with is first wife, Betty Neeck. Later he met and married the love of his life, Jacquie Von Eschen, and became stepfather to her 4 children, Gretchen, Brenda, Scott and Rusty. Together they welcomed daughter, Angela Nicole.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jacquie; daughter, Robin Capone (Angie); son, Bob Capone Jr. (Terri); daughter, Gina Capone-Buhrle (Janie); daughter, Brenda LInk (Ken); son, Scott Sumner (Christy); daughter, Angel Capone Evans (Shane); 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, stepdaughter Gretchen Sumner, stepson Rusty Curran and grandson Randy Buhrle.

Bob was loved by friends and family and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Services for Robert Capone will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10 am at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery followed by a reception at the VFW club on Bryan Stock Trail.
