Mitchell James Bynum, age 60, of Casper, passed away December 2, 2019 at Central Wyoming Hospice. Mitch was born January 23, 1959 in Casper, Wyoming to Virgil and Harriet (Rucker) Bynum.
Mitch was a kind and gentle person. Always willing to help others, he enjoyed working on older model vehicles. He also enjoyed tinkering with small engines. He was the type of person who wanted to do it his way. In his early years, he worked as a materials handler at UPS. He attended Willard Elementary School, Dean Morgan Junior High, and graduated from NCHS in 1978. As a youth, he enjoyed the company of his friends, going to dances, parties, and mixers. He also enjoyed driving to Denver. As he got older, he truly believe that one’s man’s junk is another man’s treasure. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a gentle giant. He touched many people, he will be missed.
In addition to his parents, Mitchell was also preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Bynum, Cedric Bynum and Floyd Bynum. He is also preceded in death by Margaret and Howard Speese, Myrtle and Marion Rucker, and niece, Shavonne “Vonnie” Lindsey.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Lindsey, brothers, Rodney Bynum, Keith Bynum, and Darryl Bynum, sister-in-law, Pat Bynum. In addition, he is also loved and survived by many of his nieces and nephews, Jevon Bynum, Lindee Zespy, Xavier Bynum, Danisha Bynum, Zari Bynum, Larry Lindsey Jr., Shannon Davis, Sharelle Byrd, Shevin Lindsey, Tanya Bynum, Angel Lindsey, Keena Bynum, and Brandy Bynum.
