Born in Minneapolis, MN to Wayne and Charlotte Barker.
Passed peacefully at home in Casper, WY
Jeff began his life as a 4 lb. 12 oz. baby.
In his early years in Sioux Falls, SD, Jeff had an attraction to furnace repair. A visit from the Sioux Falls Fire Department lead him to rethink his vocation of choice. Jeff spent his public-school days in East Grand Forks, MN where he excelled in sports: Field and track, wrestling, hockey, and football. His athletic abilities led him to Hibbing State Community College to play football.
Jeff married Debbie Nehring of Hibbing, MN, in 1977. They had a son, Jerad, who was born in October of 1981. Jeff and Debbie later separated. In 1989 Jeff married Evelyn Flug of Pengilly, MN, with whom shared many adventures. He remained married to Evelyn until his death.
Jeff’s career path in large equipment maintenance and sales lead him to live in multiple states, eventually landing in Casper, WY working for Brake Supply.
Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports of all kinds. He had a vast knowledge of rock n roll music. Jeff also took great pride in being a Freemason.
As a boy who started his life as such a small baby, Jeff grew to be a big loveable teddy bear of a man. We will miss him immensely.
Jeff leaves behind many who loved him dearly, including his wife, Evelyn Barker of Casper, WY; son, Jerad Barker and wife Amanda of Lakeville, MN; grandsons, Callen and Dominic; mother, Charlotte Barker of Diamondhead, MS; siblings Gail (Cathy) of Denver, CO; Paul (Joanie) of Maple Grove, MN; Nancy (Robert) of Diamondhead, MS; nephews Evan, Aric, Andrew, and Sam.
