In Memory Of
Gerald L. Harrison
1949 - 2020

Gerald Levi Harrison, 71 passed away on August 12th, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving girls. He was born on July 9, 1949 in Sheridan Wyoming to Byron and Ida (Clausen) Harrison. The family moved to Edgerton, Wyoming when he was just a wee lad and he graduated from Midwest High School in 1968.

In 1973 he married Dolly Rae Dean and the two of them had 3 amazing children. They lived in Linch Wyoming from 1981-1990 where he worked for Stafford Well Service. He was very active in the kids’ lives. He coached little league and was very involved with the wrestling organization and high school football. In 1990 they moved to Edgerton where he started a new path and became a contract pumper. Gerald spent his days driving up and down highways and dirt roads. He loved what he did in life and all of the amazing people he met along the way.

In 2015 he retired with Black Bear Oil due to health issues. He spent his days playing in the garage, woodworking, taking pride in his yard and tormenting his beautiful wife. After retirement Gerald and Dolly were able to travel together and spend extra time camping in the Big Horns which he loved with all of his heart.

Gerald was an avid Denver Bronco fan. He loved spending his falls and winters yelling at the T.V and cursing at them some bitches and telling them what they should and shouldn’t do. The family spent many summers in Colorado going to training camp to get a look at the new and upcoming talent. Every season was a Super Bowl season in his eyes. His wish was finally granted in 1998, where he drove all the way to San Diego to wait and watch outside of the stadium. It was a glorious moment in his eyes.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Ida, his father Byron, his sisters Ruby and Mary, his brothers Leslie and Larry as well as his sons, Charlie and B.J. Harrison. He is survived by his wife Dolly, his daughter Amy, Niece Carolyn Barnes, seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anyone who knew Gerald would know that he would not want you to grieve his death. He would want you to celebrate life to its fullest and have a drink in his honor.

A Celebration of Life will be help at Griffin Park in Edgerton Wyoming on Saturday, September 12th at 4pm. The family would love for you to come and celebrate the life of an amazing, hardworking man and share all of your stories, good or bad.

Donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper Wyoming.
