Olive Theresa "Terry" Babcock
1928 - 2021

Olive Theresa "Terry" Babcock died February 11, 2021 at Central Wyoming Hospice. She was born on September 30, 1928 in Portland , Oregon, to Anna and Fred Clevenger. She married Clifford (Bud) Babcock on August 21, 1948.

Terry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a generous spirit who had an infectious laugh, a loving nature, a full pantry and gave the best hugs. She spent hours reading to grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking feasts fit for armies, and telling stories and singing songs around the campfire. Terry loved the Oregon coast and supported the Casper Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps when her son Rod and her son-in-law Dick were members.

She will be remembered as funny, kind, loving, supportive, and a fierce proponent for the rights of her disabled daughter, Kimberly. She managed the gift shop at the Sunnyside Hospital in Sunnyside Washington for many years and touched many lives during that time. The world is a better place for having had her improve it through love laughter, and at the same time, worse off for her extinguished light.

Terry is survived by four children, Penny Duren, Susan DePaemelere, Rod(Gwen) Babcock, and Kimberly Babcock, four grandchildren, Michele Haagenson, Erik DePaemelere (Carrie), Kellie Carr (Andy), Brett Babcock, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Shirley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud, five sisters and one brother. Memorials can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson Street, Casper, WY 82601.
