Pamela Jean Schierkolk (Schell)

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 18th at the age of 73 at the Central Wyoming Hospice and transitions Center in Casper Wyoming.

She was born March 11, 1948 to Robert and Betty Jo Schell in Longmont Colorado. As a child Pam was active in cheerleading and fashion, she enjoyed trips to the salon to get her hair done and she loved hotrods and cars. She attended Adam City High School in Commerce City Colorado where she graduated in 1966. Shortly thereafter she married Charles Crowe and the two were blessed with two boys, Robert and CJ Crowe. They later moved to Casper, Wyoming for work and then divorced in 1978. She began attending the races at the Casper Speedway where she met the true love of her life, Robert, “Shirk”, Schierkolk. The couple was then married on April 5th, 1980 and blessed with one more son, Jason Schierkolk.

In 1984 Pam and Bob started their own sanitation company, “Lady Shirk’s Sanitation”, and watched it grow successfully for over 30 years. They also enjoyed the 35 years of their marriage watching the sports their boys played and following the racing circuits wherever they took the family.

Pam was known by many names, Pamela, Pam, Lady Shirk, Mama Shirk, Mom, Aunt, Nana, but most humbly and most cherished “Pammie”, given to her by her parents and sister. While she may have been known by many beloved names, she was most known for her genuinely, generous heart. She avidly donated to many charities, Veterans of foreign wars, wounded warriors, and the American heart Association, to name a few, and she was always willing to give anyone in need the shirt off her back or her last dollar if she knew it would help.

She is survived in life by: her sons Robert Crowe, CJ (Wendy) Crowe, Jason (Janel) Schierkolk; her sister Ruthy (Sonny) Entihar; her grandchildren Cody and Jacob Crowe, Brittany Border, Kellie Crowe, Chayse, Nathan and Rogan Schierkolk; and her great grandchildren Angel Perez and Zoey Wilburn.

She was preceded in death by: her parents Robert and Betty Jo Schell; Her husband Robert, “Shirk”, Schierkolk; her granddaughter Izabelle Schierkolk; her niece Kelly Jo McMaster; and her daughter-in-law Mary Lowthers Crowe.
