A funeral service for Larry Douglas Deines, 71, will be held at 11:00A.M. Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Wyoming State
Fairgrounds – Fort Reno Building in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Tim Ricker of the Frontier Baptist Church officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8 and the Wyoming Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors.

Larry Deines died Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home in Casper, Wyoming.
Larry was born in the car on the way to the hospital on Monday, August 1, 1949 in Ramona, Kansas the son of Paul and Dorothy (Schubert) Deines. He was raised and educated in the Salina, Kansas area, graduating from Centre High School in Lost Springs, Kansas. He also attended Kansas State University. He served in the Wyoming Army National Guard with units in Laramie, Guernsey, and Sheridan.

He was married to Sherry M. Helps on January 12, 1975 in Sheridan, Wyoming. Larry worked for various ranches in Wyoming for several years, and the Wheatland Co-op in Wheatland, Wyoming for nine years. He also owned his own farrier business, which he enjoyed very much. After the family moved to Douglas, he first worked for Igo Oil Field Service prior to going to work at the North Antelope Coal Mine for Peabody Coal until the time of his death. Larry enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles and building fence and corrals.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sherry; sons, Smokey P. Deines and Austin J. Deines all of Douglas; mother, Dorothy Kolle of Salina; siblings, Steve (Sandra) Deines of Pierce City, Missouri, Bill Deines of Topeka, Kansas, Cindy (Steve Dunning of Assaria, Kansas, and Paula (Jerrold) Berg of Salina; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul, in 1963, and brother, Brad Deines.

A memorial to the Converse County Cancer Fund in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633
