In Memory Of
Patrick Ivan Evans Sr.
1949 - 2021

Patrick Ivan Evans Sr, 72, of Jakes Corner, Arizona, went to heaven Saturday September 4, 2021 due to complications from Covid.

He was born to the late Charles and Freda Evans, January 1, 1949 in Hereford, Texas. Patrick graduated from Southeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1968. In October of the same year he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was proud to be a Vietnam Vet. Patrick earned National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Rifle Sharpshooter Badge and Good Conduct Metal. He continued his service for his country in the U.S Navy where he was deployed to countries all over the world. He continued his travels after his military career as a truck driver driving coast to coast.

Patrick was a free-spirited man who marched to the beat of his own drum. He was well-traveled and never spent too much time in one place. It is both heartening and amusing to picture a family driving on the freeway passing a motor home with a motorcycle attached to its rear, a dog in the passenger seat, and an old man with kind disposition munching on one of his own "Famous Biff's Good Burritos." A tangible manifestation of the saying "home is where the heart is," Patrick may have never stayed in one place for very long, but it was a certainty that wherever he was, there were people he loved nearby. Patrick enjoyed working on cars and playing video games during his spare time. It wouldn't be a surprise to find him bragging about his exploits on Facebook and is subsequent condemnation to "Facebook" jail.

Patrick's greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren. He would often boondock his home nearby his kids and would jump at the opportunity to watch over the grandkiddos. He would give the last $20 to one of his grandkids and then make them some comfort food right after. Patrick had an unforgettable presence. One can just imagine the notable facial expressions he would give while telling old stories, or his morning greeting song to start your day.

Patrick is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Freda; Brothers Fred and Richard.

Patrick is survived by brother Michael; four children: Sons, Patrick(wife Sherry) Evans Jr of Douglas, Wyoming; Jason Evans of Blaine, Minnesota; Ryan(wife Diana) Evans of Riceville, Iowa; and Daughter Jessica (husband Jesse) Contreras of Tucson, Arizona; Patrick is survived by his fourteen grandchildren: Jova, Athena, Jaryn, Alexandria, Trinity, Dawson, Ruby, Logan, Jackson, Tristin, Lily, Bailey, Felicity, and Kayson. Also survived by the mother of his sons and good friend Brenda Sik and his dog Too Low.

Flowers may be sent for the family to Newcomer Funeral Home.
