Shirley G. Voyles
1934 - 2022

Shirley Grace Burnett Voyles age 87, of Casper Wyoming went to be with her Lord on March 18, 2022. Shirley was born to Lloyd and Della Sawyers Burnett in Oklahoma City OK on July 12, 1934. Shirley was one of 6 children. During her early years, she took very good care of her brothers and sister.

Shirley met and married the love of her life Don Voyles in Powell. They were truly happy and were very much in love and cared for each other for over 68 years. They were a wonderful example to everyone around them of what a solid and true marriage should be. Rarely did they leave each other’s side. Losing Don was extremely hard for Shirley, she never stopped missing him. Shirley is happy once again being with Don and their son Greg.

Don’s job in the oil field industry moved them numerous times throughout Wyoming, Nebraska and Montana. They settled in Casper in 1978 and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. They loved having friends and family over for dinners and BBQs. Shirley was an amazing cook and enjoyed feeding anyone that came to their house. There was always a welcome chair at the table or a bed for anyone that may need it.

Shirley loved sharing her knowledge of cooking, baking and cleaning. One of Shirley happiest places was in her kitchen making dishes and baking a wide variety of delicious treats for her loved ones and her many church activities. Shirley loved canning, making jellies, baking peach cobblers, cookies, candies and pies. She taught her grandsons how to make their favorites pies so they could make them in her absence. We all treasure those memories and times with her.

Shirley also loved attending church, bible study, assisting with summer bible camp and providing multiple dishes for any and all church events.

Don and Shirley had two children, Jan Davis (Tom) of Worland and Greg who was married to Theresa Ryan formerly of Worland. Greg died in an auto accident a few years after he and Theresa were married. Theresa remained a part of their lives, Shirley was a very important part of her family. Shirley had 4 grandsons, Toby Davis (Brandy) Las Vegas and Cory Davis (Jennifer) Worland, Cameron, and Garrett Spaeth both of Fort Collins and 4 great grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her brother Dick (Janice) Burnett, nieces Michelle Berens, and Laura Ryan (Scott), Great Nieces and Nephews Raechel and Nick Berens, Kaitlin Ryan, Karson Burnett (Sidney) and Blakely all of Casper. Shirley is also survived by her sister Sue Tehle (Don) and family.
