Michael D. Stadtfeld was born February 16, 1939 in Greybull, WY to parents Emil Michael and Loraine Chamberlain Stadtfeld. The family moved to Casper, WY within the next year, where Mike subsequently grew up. He attended St. Anthony School, and later, St. Patrick's Academy in Sidney, NE from which he graduated in 1957.
