Michael “Mike” Stewart Smith, 76, of Casper Wyoming passed away Monday, September 26, 2022.

Mike was born in Los Angeles, California on June 13, 1946, to Guy and Sylvia Splann Smith. He lived most of his childhood in LA with his grandparents. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1964.
Mike served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 and was honorably discharge as a SP5. Upon his discharge he attended El Camino Community College in Torrance CA.

Mike met his soon to be wife while traveling through Denver CO on his was to Kansas City, Kansas with friends. Mike married Debora “Deb” Dewald on April 20, 1985, in Casper WY and they lived there until his death.

Mike enjoyed camping, swimming, and military airplanes. He was an avid movie buff, and his favorite movies were war documentaries. He enjoyed the Denver Bronco especially when Morton and Elway were quarterbacks. One of his favorites was spending time at the ocean. Mike was a lover of all animals, especially his dog Samson. They could play catch with a tennis ball for hours.

Preceding Mike in death were his grandparents, Helen and Guy Smith, his dad and stepmother, Guy and Patti Ann Smith, and a sister Beth Mohn, all from Los Angeles California.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Deb and a nephew, Christian Mohn from Los Angeles California.

Per his request, no services will be held. A memorial in his name to the Human Society would be appreciated.
