Jennie Ann Close, 61, of Evansville, beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away
on January 20, 2023.

Ms. Close was born June 5, 1961, in Sheridan, Wyoming, the daughter of Kathryn (Martinez)
Close and Richard L. Close.

She attended high school in Mesa, Arizona, where she graduated with honors. After graduation,
she went on to have many adventures, including riding and racing dirt bikes and other
motorcycles, skydiving, dancing, playing and listening to music, flying small airplanes, working
with horses, repairing car engines, taking in homeless animals, traveling, and learning countless
things along the way. During her life, she made many friends.

She lived in Oregon, Arizona, Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri, but always returned home to
Wyoming, living in Laramie and Cheyenne as well as Sheridan and Evansville. She traveled
extensively in the United States and visited a few other countries, and eventually settled in
Evansville, where she raised her son Joey and several horses, dogs, cats, lizards, and many
miscellaneous creatures.

From the time she was a very small child, she was always passionate about horses. She shared
her life with many horses, and took the time to learn natural hoof care and trimming. She offered
her services through her business Wyldest Dreams: Bare your Sole Natural Hoof Trimming. She
was also involved in rescuing and training wild horses and helping them find homes. She shared
her love of horses with her community and was always willing to offer a helping hand.

In addition to her son, Joey Thies, she is survived by her loyal companion Zeke, her sisters
Cristie Hubbard (Mark) of Kissimmee, FL, and Bonnie Close (Ken Gierke) of Jefferson City, MO,
and nieces and nephews Austin Hubbard (Tamaris) of Seymour, TN, Zachary Hubbard of
Quaker Hill, CT, Lydia Reznicek of Jefferson City, MO, Julia Reznicek of Jefferson City, MO,
and great nephew Leo Hubbard of Seymour, TN, as well as extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kathryn Close and Richard L. Close, and her
grandparents, Frank and Jemma Martinez, Lelah Yount, and Gerald Close.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
